A Charlie Brown Christmas
It has become a tradition for me to watch this lovely Christmas special.
So why not write this review about the soundtrack.
Of course everyone knows what A Charlie Brown Christmas is about.
Watching it makes me feel like a kid again.
The music is even more fun to listen to. And its become a holiday seller every year but this year iTunes Canada decided to sell the soundtrack for $4.99 and it went crazy on the charts.
On to the soundtrack.

Hallelujah craze
Low and behold, the official Christmas #1 single in the UK is Alexandra Burke’s version of Hallelujah.
While Jeff Buckley’s version is #2 and Leonard Cohen’s version is #36.
I just want to scream “HALLELUJAH”.
Alot of people are loving it or hating it but everyone is talking about it.
I’m indifferent at the moment.
Would you say the song is really a Christmas holiday kind of song?
What makes everyone love or be intrigued by this song?
We love that other artist interpret their version of this song.

Show Review: Martha Wainwright
I had a interesting night.
I wasn’t expecting to see Martha Wainwright again.
Last time I saw her play was at Bluesfest.
Thanks to my brother who won the tickets from CBC Radio 3(Who says CBC doesn’t give away good things? Support Radio 3 and good things might come).

Show Review: First Annual Indie Rock Holiday Party
Attended to this show and support Ottawa talent.
With the bus strike still happening.
Still didn’t dampen the holiday spirits.
The turn out was good but what can you do with horrible circumstance with public transit.
On to the review.

CD Review: The Soiree – Minor Details
Another Ottawa band that I noticed this year and went to their CD Release show in September.
The dictionary defines soiree as a party or reception held in the evening. Sorry to be cheesy with the definition.
They are the Soiree (Soirée, needed to get that french E) and the members are:
- Matthew Arnold
- Mike Armstrong
- Bryce Colenbrander
- Eric Roberts (No not the actor)
Show Review: The Acorn + Ohbijou w/ Sleeping Pilot
December 12, 2008 was a memorable night at Barrymore’s.
Besides the buses being on strike, that couldn’t ruin a great show.
It was a home welcoming show for Ottawa’s favorite band The Acorn.
Also playing was Sleeping Pilot and Ohbijou.
