Bahamas’ Afie Jurvanen is used to being the opening act. Having settled into that early slot in the past few years, touring with everyone from Jason Collett to Elvis Costello, Jurvanen has become conscious of how to pack a good show into short amount of time. Headlining Friday night’s sold-out show at the Mod Club was a nice change in pace then, but that didn’t stop him from jokingly telling the audience, after two songs, “I think we have time for a couple more, thanks.”
